Swimming

Room 7 have enjoyed Aquagym this term and have made a lot of progress!

Science

Today we have made bread as part of our Science unit. We discussed how yeast helps bread rise and the changes that occurred during the progress.

Gingerbread Making!

Room 7 had a lot of fun yesterday making gingerbread men! Thanks Kaylee and Jade for helping us out :)

Salt Dough Sculpture

Room 7 have sculptured faces showing different emotions using salt dough. They had to explain at least three different techniques they used such as pressing, rolling and pinching the dough.

Jayziah the Rugby Star

On Saturday Jayziah received the Player of the Day award for his Linwood Rugby team!

We are very proud of him!

New Zealand International Film Festival

The Karawha team were very lucky to be able to attend the Shorts for Schools animation film as part of The New Zealand International Film Festival!

We travelled by bus to the Isaac Theatre Royal. 

We watched 11 different animations from all around the world including Russia and Spain.

Writing Instructions

Come into Room 7 and check out our instructions for how to make a Nutella or Marmite Sandwich! We have been focusing on Procedural Writing during Writing time at the moment.

Clever Cookies

Four students from Room 7 baked cookies with Miss Gosden today. These students have shown our school values all term and were rewarded with being able to bake some cookies!

Room 7 enjoyed the baking that Nikora, Adriana, Jayziah and Molly did. 

Movie + Popcorn Treat

Room 7 has worked hard the last few weeks to earn a movie and popcorn afternoon.

Well done Room 7 for working together to earn it!

Our Ferrymead Trip

We had a great time at Ferrymead! The students learnt about what life was like 100 years ago. We visited the movies, bakery, school house, family home and went on the tram. The students (and the teachers) got to dress up in costumes for the day. We had a blast!
