Tee ball and Hockey

The children had a chance to play Tee Ball and Hockey. If weather permits we will have a go again next week. What a beautiful afternoon we had. It was great fun.

The last two weeks the children have been learning about how to write instructions and  follow them.

We made play dough and baked cookies. They all had a part of play dough to take home.

If you have time, have a go with making play dough with them.  See if they are able to follow the instructions. Have fun! The children helped to write out the method on the white board.

Play dough Recipe

2 cups of flour
1 cup salt
2 table spoon of cooking oil
2 table spoon cream of tartar
2 cups of boiling water

Food colouring of your choice.

Method:
1.   First add 2 cups of flour
2.   Next add 1 cup of salt
3.   Then put 2 tablespoons of cooking oil
4.   Add 2 tablespoons of cream of tartar
5.   Finally pour two cups of boiling water

·      We mix the ingredients together until it becomes thick.
·      Tip the mixture on the table.
·      We roll it up.
·      We make a hole in the dough with one finger and pour a drop of food colouring in the hole.
·      Mix till the colour is all mixed through

PLAY WITH IT

If you do want the chocolate chip cookie recipe, I can also provide that to you.
