Forces and Friction

Today we looked at the force of blowing and how we could move objects along different surfaces. We discovered that our pencil was easier to move long distances when the surface was smooth and you had to use a lot more puff to move objects on rough or bumpy surfaces.



We watched this video and discovered it was all to do with FRICTION.

Strike

We were lucky to be treated to yet another wonderful performance by the Wellington percussion group, Strike. They provided an exciting and varied performance.

We are learning to write explanations and our Inquiry focus is about Forces so why not combine them!!

Kids Can Cook Kitchen

A couple of weeks ago Linwood North School was lucky to host Chris Fortune from Kids can Cook. He travels the length of NZ teaching children about the importance of healthy eating and eating local and seasonal food.      http://www.kidscancookkitchen.org.nz/

Kiwi sport
